Difference Makers is a ministry that meets once a week at Hartman Elementary School in Wylie to teach kids about love and service to others. Each week, more than 50 kids acted as the hands and feet of Jesus. Service activities included making activity kits for children going through chemo, Christmas ornaments for residents of a nearby senior resident facility, arts, crafts, and ask any kid about the “blessing stone!” There are several kids on a waiting list — waiting for more adults and youth who will help lead them. Difference Makers meets on Tuesdays from 2:00-4:30 PM. All are invited to prep time on Mondays from 10:00-11:30 AM.
It’s a great opportunity for any person age 18+ to volunteer and serve with these students.
